Who We Are
The Queens Federation of Democratic Women (QFDW) is a local chapter affiliated with the New York State Federation of Democratic Women and the National Federation of Democratic Women.
We are a community of women across Queens committed to strengthening democracy through education, advocacy, and collective action. Our members include organizers, district leaders, candidates, volunteers, and women who simply want to stay informed and involved without taking on formal roles.
All are welcome. Every level of participation matters.

QFDW is part of a statewide and national Democratic women’s network with a shared mission: to support Democratic values, strengthen the party, increase women’s representation in government and civic leadership and most importantly- GET DEMOCRATS ELECTED.
Beyond serving our members, the Federation plays an active role in educating voters, supporting Democratic candidates, and building pathways for women to engage meaningfully in the political process.
We believe democracy works best when women are informed, supported, and connected to one another.

QFDW is more than an organization—it is a sisterhood.
We believe that political engagement should not be isolating or intimidating. QFDW creates space for women to learn, ask questions, share experiences, and support one another in a respectful, welcoming environment.
Whether you are deeply involved in politics or just beginning to explore civic engagement, you belong here. We build community across generations, backgrounds, and levels of experience because women are stronger- and democracy is healthier- when we stand together.

QFDW is designed to meet women where they are. Membership can be as active or as low-key as you want it to be. Some members lead. Others learn. Many simply show up when it counts.
